Меня еще учительница попросила объяснить соседу по-английски (!) чем отличаются Present Perfect и Past simple, и сама же подсказала фразу: I have had my baby this year. I had him in August. То есть если период еще длится (этот год), значит там Present Perfect, а если уже завершился (август), то там Past Simple
