Ономатомания

Сегодняшнее "бесполезное" слово сначала пришлось мне по вкусу:

the worthless word for the day is: onomatomania

Потом посмотрела - во французском оно тоже используется, но подчёркнуто - как медицинский термин, причём в областях, связанных с психическими нарушениями:

ONOMATOMANIE [ónómatómani] n. f.
- Psychopath. Obsession* portant sur un ou des mots (peur d'oublier un mot; préoccupation de lire ou d'entendre un mot auquel on attache une valeur magique; obsession-impulsion à prononcer un mot).

Parfois, ce terme est utilisé pour désigner au contraire une crainte maladive d'entendre ou de prononcer certaines expressions.

По-русски тоже нашлось:
Ономатомания – Навязчивое влечение к припоминанию собственных имен, дат, названий предметов, редких слов.

Как видите, в разных языках симптомы слегка различаются, одно ясно - речь идёт о "maux de mots".
